Your SCA software should look like the image below where all data is shown.

If the device is out of water it will look like the second image below.

If you see a false out of water image above it may clear its self before sending a reading to seneye.me.

The out of water test is done locally every few minutes. The same icon for in and out of water appear on seneye.me.

Readings that are marked out of water are not shown on your seneye.me graphs and alerts are not sent.

This is to prevent false alarms.

The test for in and out of water works every few minutes, a beam of red light is sent out from the light meter window.

This window has an optical circuit on it which makes light refract internally in air or spill out into water.

It is this difference in red light intensity that allows us to see if the device is in or out of water.

As most fish have poor red vision the light flashing does not annoy them.

If your device is in water but thinks its out here a few common reasons.

    1.       The issue for this may well be that the device has an air bubble on the light window; this is quite common in ponds using the float close to a filter outlet of aeration.

    2.       The black back of the seneye device is positioned against a surface that will reflect light back into the device fooling it into thinking it’s out of water.

    3.       Algae or bacteria have covered the seneye light lenses and it needs cleaning.

So our advice is to check the above and maybe move the device to another spot.

If this does not clear the issue please do get in contact with us.
