Normal systems for continously measuring PH and other chemicals require calibration.

Calibration should always be done using more than one point to ensure accuracy.

Remember if you have a probe it will only be as good as the calibration fluids used to set it and these can greatly vary.

PH calibration steps is an area where error and inaccuracy are often is introduced by the user.

Only good quality fresh calibration fluids should be used to calibrate and these can be expensive.

ISE PH probes should be changed anually as their response and accuracy will change with age.

Remember if you calibrate your PH probes in buffer solutions (which are high ion concentration) and then place the probe in a low KH (low ion concentration) fish tank or pond you maybe getting a flase reading. Click here to find out more.

NH3 cannot be calibrated as all calibaration fluids would be very uinstable when stored due to off gassing.

With a seneye device you should not need to use calibration as the replacement seneye+ slide does this.

You can trim the values displayed by the seneye device if you wish it to match your other devices.
